What is inside Andy Warhol's hundreds of time capsules?

nextpittsburgh.com: Warhol is well known as a collector, but his Time Capsule project was his most epic collecting endeavor. Over the last 13 years of his life, Warhol filled more than 600 boxes with 300,000+ objects from his everyday life: receipts, works of art, envelopes of cash, packages of cookies, Polaroids, handwritten letters, paperwork, birthday presents, etc.

I really love the Warhol museum; it's probably my favorite museum in Pittsburgh. The museum is filled with pieced by Andy Warhol from throughout his career, which contains a multitude of diffrent styles. Its then organized across several floors by what decade it's from, which I think is a really awesome way of capturing the life and work of this incredible artist. There is also a floor that is dedicated to the archives of all of Andy Warhol's estate, including his time capsules. I find the time capsules particularly fascinating because what do you mean that we have thousands of random papers and objects that belonged to such a prolific artist just chilling in some boxes waiting to be opened. At this point, there is so much stuff that Andy Warhol collected that they struggle to go through all of it and figure out exactly what it all is. I find it funny too that Warhol had originally intended to sell the time capsules, but then couldn’t because his lawyers told him that with the amount of documents in them, it would be a bad idea. Anyway, check out the Warhol Museum and the time capsules if you haven’t already, they're super cool!
