When I was reading this I immediately thought of the super precise system they used in the sphere. That allows for specific members of the audience to be targeted by specific sounds. Which would be super rad if the zoo could accomplish such a feat. I think everything stated in this article is totally possible. Considering the technology that we have I think the zoo could go a long way to ensure the animals are comfortable. I think there's a lot the zoo could do itself with a little consulting. DIY audio is totally within the realm of possibly as well. There's a product that is sold called directional speakers, and they allow incredibly precise control of the sound that is used. I think it was by holosonic sound that makes them. They make small versions and much bigger ones for scaled up use as well, yeah I think this is super cool to see. Great use for directional speakers.
