This was an absolutely fascinating article to read. I find that home improvement is one of the hardest categories of things to learn and work with and get information on because it is almost always just like passed down information from adults to kids and it is so hard to like look something up and find accurate information because everything on the Internet is just like oh well this is what my grandfather taught me and told me that this is how you do it and not like this is how you actually do it to do it safely and effectively and wonderfully. So I really appreciated this article and Lowe's for putting together this list of tools that like would actually be helpful in home improvement and explaining what they do in their functions, because I find that that is something that is often missing from the Internet and the world.

This was a fun article because it prompted me to think about which items CMU Drama does or does not use or have in inventory, and made me wonder why. Though I love needlenose pliers, I hadn’t heard of Knipex before. The drill press guide is honestly genius - though there are other tricks and tools one can use, the structure of this one seems relatively reliable. It’s also awfully convenient for angled drills (45, 60, 75, and 90 degree) too. The long nose locking pliers (as well as the needle nose side cutters) are equally as necessary as needle nose pliers, so that makes intuitive sense to me. I have used the snap on wire connectors before and they are super convenient. The little bandsaw is really cute, but seemingly inconvenient. Plumber’s putty is a very versatile product. The spike aerator seems like it wouldn’t have many uses in a theatrical context, but the extension ladder certainly would.
