This Hands-Free Mic Kit Can Be an Easy and Affordable Way to Make Sure Your Audio Doesn’t Suck
No Film School: It might be a headache while on set or out in the field, but recording high-quality (and usable) audio will always make your life easier in the edit. And while you might want to go with higher-end options for bigger projects and productions, for all of the solo shooters and small crews out there, this new RØDE Wireless Micro is a nice option for those on a budget.

I've actually have been seeing these microphones a lot lately, and it's really stunning to see just how far wireless technology has come. These types of microphones by Rhode that are incredibly easy to setup have become extremely popular with small creators especially on TikTok, you'll see these a ton, they're super popular with those that are willing to put just a little more effort into their videos, and they provide a solid boomy sound that it's ways better than recording on your phone. Now for me I think it's less to do with the quality of the microphones themselves. But a rise in like this new style of video where the microphones are consistently present within the shot, they're sort of like man on the street videos, but they have a much more personal feel to them I think. I'm also starting to see microphones be more present in like documentary interviews too, and in like other sit down shots. It's such a great evolution from the absolutely necessity to get rid of the microphones in shots from a bygone era.
