Lucas Museum of Narrative Art Sets Opening for September 2026
www.hollywoodreporter.com: The new cultural institution designed to celebrate illustrated storytelling, founded by Star Wars creator George Lucas and his wife Mellody Hobson, will open to the public on Sept. 22, 2026.
“This is a museum of the people’s art. The images are illustrations of beliefs we live with every day,” said Hobson in a statement making the date announcement. “For that reason, this art belongs to everyone.”

I actually love museums and I really wish that there were more of them. They not only provide people in the entertainment industry stable income, because they typically provide full time jobs with salaries to the regions they're in. But also a unique design opportunity for installations rather than spaces that will be changed in the next week or so. I also love the idea of preserving history. That all of these places have the ability to showcase and educate people. I love history museums especially because they have this ability to almost take you back, and make the people walking through them experience what those were experiencing at the time. Maybe we should start making more virtual reality experiences in museums that could be pretty cool. I think virtual museums are really cool too. There was this museum that was entirely made in Minecraft, and it allowed people from countries with censored history to educate themselves on the history of the world that wasn't altered or washed.
