Acebeam K1 EDC Flashlight: High-Output, Multi-Function Versatility
Pro Tool Reviews: I’m a flashlight junkie and own an almost embarrassing number, ranging from high-output to super-compact models. Those compact models are helpful but tend to be limited in both output and features. The Acebeam K1 EDC Flashlight got my attention by bucking that trend.

I always appreciate a good Pro Tools Review article and this one was very helpful for understanding the capabilities of the Acebeam K1 ED flashlight along with the various pros and cons that come with this particular model. In general, its versatility for a compact flashlight was impressive, offering an LED light, laser pointer, and a UV light while also being well constructed to deal with all varieties of wear and tear in addition to being rechargeable. It seems this might not be for everyone (especially if you’d only be likely to use the flashlight feature), if you’re looking for a lot of range through a compact flashlight, this is a great contender for such a purchase. It’s price right around $55 and a 10 year warranty also help to demonstrate that hopefully this would last you a long time and that the larger cost would hopefully turn out to be a good investment in the long term.
We get a few tool reviews on the blog that are about small compact flashlights that still have a bunch of features. Usually, they all look nice except for the controls. If the manufacturer designs in too many different features, the controls seem to get cumbersome and complicated. This flashlight seems to solve it pretty good, but not perfectly. I think that twisting a caller on the flashlight is a good way to change modes, but I don't like that this flashlight doesn't have any zoom functionality. Changing into strobe seems more complicated than anyone wants it to be, but we also never use strobe in theater, so maybe that's OK. I really like that this flashlight has a laser pointer and multiple power modes. If there's one thing that I find myself wishing that my current flashlight had, it would be a laser pointer. It's about the same size as the current flashlight I carry, and I would definitely give this one a try.
