Here is some good news! FINALLY! It seems like a lot of the workforce and specifically our industry is being hurt over and over. People getting laid off, mistreated, and so on. So it is nice to see some wins. It does blow my mind that we are still fighting for things like minimum wages that even then are still a little low. While this article was exciting I do sometimes sit back and think about how the title of this describes it as a huge step forward but really it should not feel like that. This in my opinion is the bare minimum but I guess in the world we are in right now it is a huge step and that makes me sad. However, obviously it is a good thing and a good step in the right direction which is better than going backwards. I also love seeing things like more pre-production for stage managers! That means people are starting to understand what we do and what we need to do our best work.
