Chicago Reader: “At the opera, we are used to drama,” says Michael Solomon, director of media relations at Lyric Opera of Chicago. And drama is what many audience members serve with their attire, be it classic, modern, casual, or formal. “I have [received] quite the fashion education by going to the opera,” says Solomon. “Because the opera is a safe place to experiment, I have seen some wild and wonderful looks.”
