Run Away With The Circus: Meet Trickster from Cirque du Soleil's 'KOOZA'
seattlerefined.com: Kevin Beverley knew that he wanted to be a part of Cirque du Soleil from a very young age. Growing up in Chicago, he took gymnastics classes as a child, then switched to dance because one of his friends did. But it turns out that it was a good move. Kevin says that he became known as "the dancer who can flip."

I grew up going to the circus with my entire family, and I do think that a part of that is what led me to be interested in theater as a career path. Alongside going to see musicals and watching the taped DVD of Peter Pan on Broadway until I had it memorized, I spent a lot of time being fascinated by the circus. The way that the performers could move so otherworldly, leaping across the stage and swinging, flipping in ways that I could only dream of. And this was also before Cirque removed animals from their shows, so I was entranced as a child by the elephants and horses. I remember one time seeing a dragon themed performance by Cirque, and thinking it was downright magical. I would give anything to go back and live seeing those shows again for the first time. I’m so happy that Kevin is both able to live his dream of performing and facilitate such memories for kids like me.
