Even though I don’t use Fusion, these are good tips to keep in mind for most CAD and 3D modeling softwares. The most interesting part of this article for me was the modeling methods. There’s top down, bottom up, and hybrid. I have never thought about these different approaches to modeling, but it makes a lot of sense, and is something I’ll consider next time I’m making something. Normally I use a bottom up approach, but like the article says, that takes a lot of time. The use of AI is also intriguing. The whole section about “generative design” made me think. I appreciated that it explains how the results are formed and the actual steps the computer does. I think this is a good example of ethical and productive use of AI. I haven’t used Fusion that much, but I definitely want to play around with it after reading this.
