SAG-AFTRA Takes Another Day to Respond to AMPTP's Final Offer

variety.com: SAG-AFTRA will take another day to respond to the studios’ “last, best and final” offer, as the union’s negotiating committee continues to weigh its next move. In an email to members just before midnight on Sunday, union leaders said they had spent all day discussing the proposal internally and would continue to do so on Monday.

My big question is how could this be the final offer? It the actors are not willing to go back to work under the agreement that the studios presented then what are their plans? The conditions they were working in were less than ideal and I would be shocking if you found enough people to continue to work under those conditions to complete the projects that the studios are hoping to do. On the other hand, the agreement seems to be resolving a lot of the issues that were brought to the table in the first place. In my opinion, the largest is residuals for streaming platforms and even increased residuals on high performing television shows. I would be interested in seeing what qualifies as a high performing television show. Is there a certain bracket of how well a television show does off of views or is it in comparison to other shows/movies?
