I have been watching the Ticketmaster monopoly and scandal since right after the absolute train wreck that was the Taylor Swift Eras tour. I am personally frustrated with the government for letting this issue and the monopoly that is LiveNation continue running their business and taking over the entertainment ticketing industry for over a decade essentially unrestrained. This issue has been going on for so long that there have been references to the insanity that is ticketmaster's ticket system in TV, Movies and other media. I hope that with the frustration and outrage that the Taylor Swift era's tour has caused, the government will take action toward restraining LiveNations Monopoly. This monopoly is also slowly driving SeatGeek out of many venues as contracts are nor being renewed which yet again is something that needs to be resolved before LiveNations Monopoly increases in the US. I am concerned for both fans and artists if the hearing has no concrete ruling.
