This Box Truck Will Shuttle Guests at Disney’s $2,500/Night Star Wars Hotel
www.thedrive.com: For those that have fallen in love with Disney properties, a stay at the company's theme parks and hotels can be a dream come true. The entertainment company has recently been developing a new Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser theme hotel experience at its Florida park. However, the luxury experience may not be all its cracked up to be, with reports that the company is using dirty old box trucks to transport guests, as shared by YouTubers Clownfish TV.

I find this article interesting because it seems more and more entertainment avenues are trying to create a more immersive environment for their audience. Especially in the theatre industry, I am noticing more and more lobby displays or even breaking the 4th wall in theaters. This is so when guests enter a theater, they feel they are already in the story. In this article’s case, Disney has a lot of opportunity because there are so many storylines that could be implemented into one of these experiences. In this case, they are creating one for Star Wars where they will transport guests from a themed hotel to that part of the theme park via a vehicle that will keep in line with the theme. This situation overall doesn’t sound too out of reach for Disney since much more complicated projects have existed, but with budget cuts, it is difficult to acquire resources to meet their intentions.
