Can theatres survive the pandemic? For Brave Spirits, the answer is no.
dctheatrescene.com: The economic havoc caused by the coronavirus has claimed another local victim – Brave Spirits Theatre.

I do not think I can ever be in a state of mind so pessimistic that I could believe that the theater industry would not be able to survive this pandemic. Yes, the past couple of months have probably been the worst that the industry has had to deal with, but I am still hopeful; maybe because I cannot imagine a world that does not have live performances.
But I get the place of mind that some of these “brave hearts” are coming from, because they are looking at the situation in a practical and fact- based look and the past few months look glib and glum.
I am really really hoping that once this pandemic begins to settle down, that life for the theater industry will start to look and be more hopeful, that these “brave hearts” will grow to be more optimistic and excited for the industry’s future.
