Star Trek TOS: Top 10 Episodes for Costuming
ScreenRant: Back in the 1960s, when television and special effects were still in the early stages of development, other departments needed to get creative to fill in the gaps. Costuming was important for setting the tone, mood, and visual style of any given TV episode. This was especially true for science fiction shows, which were also a new phenomenon. One of the most famous of these was Star Trek, The Original Series.

I saw this article and my first thought was that if 'Mirror, Mirror' wasn't on here I'm picking a different article and it was there! This was an interesting read because of not only the episodes that were chosen, but also for the reasons that were given. Take the paragraph for 'Mirror, Mirror'. I first thought of the changes made to Kirk and Spock's normal uniform and loved how the first mentioned was Spock's goatee, and liked how they made the comparison of how the difference in their uniforms shows the difference in the universe's priorities. I was also not surprised to see 'Amok Time' on here because it's the first time that we get to know so much about Vulcans and how their clothing is a mix of their logic and their primitive nature. I will say that some of these episodes I wouldn't have put on here or would have changed the order, but overall this article was fun to read because of how it tied in costumes to the characters in a way that's easy to understand and agree with looking back on the episodes.
