One of the things that has been impressing me the most recently is the amount of money spent on production like this. I went to see Hootie and the Blowfish and there seemed to be just tractor-trailer after tractor-trailer of equipment. The fact that this show has five different configurations just seems like a mind-boggling amount of money up-front. Presumably, they are making money or they wouldn’t spend that much, but it just seems like so much. The job of that engineer sound really difficult because he’s in charge of loading in and loading out on (sometimes) consecutive days. He also has to design the system for the next place by mapping it out using some type of specialized software which sounds really cool. I bet that job is very demanding. I don’t know the specific types of speaker that they mentioned, but the sheer number is impressive and I’m sure each one is pricey
