Is this the world’s largest outdoor LED TV installation?
AV Magazine: A private estate owner who is a huge football fan has had a 12 x 7 metre, 4K LED screen installed behind the swimming pool in his garden.
The IP66-rated LED screen was mounted less than 100 metres from the sea on an island off the east coast of Africa.

This is a pretty wild display of opulence. It’s a cool thing to see, but I can’t help but wonder what the neighbors think of the sound system (if they are close enough nearby) or wonder about the surrounding nature. I found it a little funny when the article stated that other companies thought it was meant to be an advertising medium, as it could so easily be that. Rather, the client just wanted a huge screen on which to watch football near the swimming pool in his garden. I am really interested in the budgeting process of something so extravagant - I’m sure the shipping cost from Dubai was a good fraction of the total cost. I’m also wondering what insurance looks like for that kind of thing, especially considering it’s outside, close to the sea on an island, off the east coast of Africa with a distinct rainy season. I’m curious who the client is, and why they really wanted this - I understand liking football, but to this monetary extent is interesting.
