DiGiCo Delivers Sonic Consistency For The Kooks On Tour In Europe

ProSoundWeb: The latest European Tour by English indie rock band The Kooks, slated to kick off in February 2026 and run straight into the festival season, will see both front of house engineer Russ Miller and Ralph Smart at the monitor position using DiGiCo Quantum326 consoles supplied by rental company Adlib.

I have only interacted with DiGiCo a little in passing. Most of what I have interacted with has been Yamaha or Allen and Heath mixers and processing. I am always looking to learn more about different consoles that have their different features and uses. DiGiCo is one that I would love to learn more about specifically. I think the people interviewed in this article have a clear understanding of the DiGiCo system and the uses of the different consoles and their ways of making it easier for them to work. I was especially interested by the comment made that an effective engineer will always try to make their setup and console look exactly the same. This is something that I think I’ve noticed but not fully realized until reading it. It makes sense that in all areas you have ways that you do things in order to keep consistency in your workflow and make your life that much easier. Hearing that this hold true for your programming and how you set up the system is super critical. I would love to go back and look at how places I’ve worked have employed this idea and what I have learned from it.
