Architect submits plan to transform West End theatre into first European base for Cirque du Soleil

News | Building: SPPARC has unveiled its plans to transform a grade II-listed cinema building in the heart of London’s West End into the first European base of Cirque du Soleil. Proposals submitted to Camden council for developer Yoo Capital would see the partial demolition of the Saville Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue and the addition of a six-storey roof extension.

This seems neat. Now I know I said there's so many times and a lot of different articles, but I really am a fan of Cirque du soleil. I think the work they do is amazing and really inspiring, and especially seeing it as an artist is incredible. What I mean by this is that when you are in the techie world, and you figure out how certain things are done, it's amazing to watch other shows. It's really cool to see all the different tricks they use, and to try and figure out how certain companies did certain things. This applies a lot to Cirque du Soleil because some of the stuff they do genuinely just looks like magic. They've got so much money, which allows them to have lots of cool technology, and it also is allowing them to build this new base in europe. I'm so glad that it is spreading worldwide, but not just briefly, it is spreading worldwide in a way that it is going to stay.
