I'm going to be so honest, I don't really understand all the numbers that are happening in this article. All I know is that I don't really love the idea of AI and art. At some point in this article they compared ai, to send. I think this is a very different distinction, and these two things should not truly be compared. A synth is just a tool like a piano, or like some other musical instrument. however AI is something entirely different. it is an entity that creates its own music and pulls from specific artists. Now I don't truly think that I could just pull from one artist, I think it pulls from so many different artists and it just doesn't have lots of creative integrity. I think using AI in any creative space is generally harmful, just because it takes so much away from the artists themselves. Now of course this does have exceptions, and AI can be helpful in certain cases but it's genuinely really iffy for me.
