Paramount's Las Vegas 'Mountain' to Tout Shows During Super Bowl

variety.com: The road to the Super Bowl often comes with a few bumps. And then there’s the one Paramount Global is devising. The entertainment conglomerate, parent of CBS, which will broadcast Super Bowl LVIII from Las Vegas on February 11, 2024, will construct a “Paramount Mountain” atop the popular Mirage Volcano at The Mirage at 3400 South Las Vegas Blvd in Las Vegas.

The Paramount Mountain is something I think most people who grew up in America are familiar with, and it brings me much nostalgia and I can clearly envision the animation of the stars going around the mountain with the music very easily. I think that it is super cool that they are planning this elaborate promotional event, and excited to see how well it will play out being broadcasted from Las Vegas for the SUper Bowl. It is interesting to me that they decided to fully construct the "Paramount Mountain" on the Mirage Volcano at The Mirage in Las Vegas rather than using CGI or something like that. Featuring the "Paramount+ Lodge" and an interactive gondola ride will definitely attract tourists and I think having this on the Super Bowl is a huge way to advertise. It seems like they are working very hard on their promotion, with launching the Super Bowl simulcast on Nickelodeon which the article mentions could cause them to face investor scrutiny in the streaming era.
