Brenden Peifer Stands Tall in Latest Role for barebones' 'American Buffalo'
onstagepittsburgh.com: At a lanky 6 feet, 4 inches, Brenden Peifer is hard to miss, whether offstage or on. And this year, it has seemed he is always on.
So far in 2023, Peifer could be seen in productions for Pittsburgh Public Theater (his fifth PPT show, including August Wilson’s Two Trains Running) and Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company; the PICT International Classic Theatre benefit reading series; and as Laertes in Quantum Theatre’s epic Hamlet.

Theatre is one of those things that is so hard to introduce to children and we see it here in this article. The actor, Brenden Peifer, was introduced to theatre as a child by his aunt who works in the industry. He was so scared by a show that he needed to be forceable removed from the theatre and then it took him a while to return to the theatre. It was not until college that he found his passion for it while at University of Pittsburgh studying something completely unrelated to the arts. The second point that I found interesting to this piece is how well he is thriving in the theatre community in Pittsburgh. At first thought, this town does not feel like it will have a booming industry, but it is quite the contrary. This town has so many small (and large) theatres in it that make this sizable industry for theatre. I also equate it to the relative size of Milwaukee where the large size of the theatre community is surprising to an outside eye.
