This is so cool and something that is so very important to me. I have always struggled with going to things like live theater, concerts, and other things like that. I am someone who struggles with loud noises and sensory related things. Often it is bad enough that I do not go see shows that I know will be too loud or involve things like gunshots. Recently CMU did “put your house in order” and I was not able to go see it because I knew it was not sensory friendly. It always makes me sad when I cannot go see things so I can only imagine how people with much larger disabilities feel. It is so exciting to see a venue making so many changes to become more accessible. I would love to see more theaters move towards this and I hope this is just the beginning of a chain that leads to more accessible theater for everyone.
