I had never heard of the IAAPA expo before reading this article, and after reading, it sounds like an expo I’d love to attend. The projects mentioned in this article seem really interesting - the JUMP project was on that caught my attention initially. I’ve played VR games focused on simulating skydiving and wingsuit flying and while it felt almost realistic, the idea of a hyper realistic VR-esque experience sounds simultaneously extremely cool and terrifying. I’d love to see what technology goes into making that kind of VR technology. The other projects mentioned all seem equally as cool as the previous - from the performer flying system on a cruise ship to sustainable living prototype cities to a music festival in the middle of the desert, there is so much I’m interested in looking into and will be looking into. TAIT works on such cool projects, and it’s always cool to see an article with some of their work on the newspage.
