It has always surprised me to find that Atlanta has become a hub for cinematic production in the U.S. It is interesting to me that they are taking over a former Army Base and keeping the historic architecture and other natural places that allow this to be more than a production center. It will have 18 purpose stages that range from 5,000 square feet to over 40,000 square feet. The amount of studio space this studio will have, will allow productions to explore new types of techniques and qualities for their productions. I am also in awe of the fact that they are trying to collaborate with local high schools and colleges to help train students in the cinematic arts. As the film industry becomes bigger and bigger throughout the years, I am excited to see what this program brings to Atlanta and how this studio changes the face of the film industry in Atlanta.

OK I knew I had to comment on this article because first of all Elaine is my home second of all I actually do the guy who owned this before blue star he bought this old military base to convert into a film studio probably 10 years ago and I went and hung out with him for a day when I was maybe 12 when they had a bunch of blue screen set up outside that were being used for hunger games From what I can remember it he wanted to sell this because he did not have the funds to turn it into the great movie studio it could be so I’m glad to see that this will be turning into a blue star studio. The film industry Atlanta is booming and it has brought so many job opportunities to Georgia. I just simply remember many of the spaces and one of them that they had set up for hunger games was this expensive forest that was inside just a warehouse and you walked in and it just completely transformed where you were. I also remember many of these would working shops that they mention and the original owner wanted to turn those into graphic design studios.
