LeeAnét Noble sounds like an excellent choice to be the new leader of Adventure Theatre MTC. Her background in a variety of work but specifically Black theatre is vital for a community as diverse as the DC Metro area (DMV). While this article does mention her extensive experience with DEI, I hope if there are changes needing to be made at ATMTC in this field, that they don’t all fall onto her. Her knowledge is crucial, but must not be taken advantage of as a means to limit other initiatives, such as Anti-Bias training. I also admire Noble’s extensive experience in educational theatre, because it connects her to the upcoming generation of theatre artists, that those solely working in the industry may be more removed from. Overall, I hope Noble’s appointment serves to be a mutually beneficial relationship for both her and the organization as a whole.
