Adam Rigg, Dede Ayite, Mikaal Sulaiman, More Are Recipients of 2022 Henry Hewes Design Awards
Playbill: Recipients of the Henry Hewes Design Award Honors, recognizing artistry on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Off-Off-Broadway stages for the 2021–2022 season, were announced September 28.

I love when people I know win awards, especially people like Adam and Dede, who are so nice. I worked with Dede at the beginning of 2020, and every interaction I had with her was pleasant. With Adam, they were the scenic and costume designer for the production I worked on over the summer. Adam is just so amazingly talented, there’s a reason they led all the nominees with four nominations. Though they were also extremely busy, I think we were production one of eight they were working on at the time. I thoroughly enjoyed Adam’s personality, especially during tech and previews, they were always so kind and laid back. Yet you could also tell that they were trying to handle the multitude of changes that were constantly occurring. One thing I noted about Adam, is that they went out of the way to learn my name, which is something that doesn’t always happen, even more so when I’m a PA.
