It's really crazy to see a show run for as long as years considering that show very such so has the potential of opening for a week and then closing. When trying to create a legendary musical such as Chicago, I always ask what the first step is. I don’t the creators who were just starting out with this project, had any idea how successful it really would be, which only furthers my fascination. I remember watching the movie with my entire school in the seventh grade. I used to go to a performing arts school, so this was kind of a tradition. It was so funny to hear that everyone in the audience was singing along and citing every word perfectly. And to this day it is just as referenced and remembered. I think stories like this are reiterated because they are memorable and universities relevant. The success of this show has been one that broke records and created history, which therefore adds to their legend.
