DeWalt DCB104 Simultaneous Charger Review - Four Ports, All Sorts, Even The New Giant FlexVolt!

Home Fixated: Thanks to the growing number of powerful cordless tools, many job sites are much more efficient and productive than they used to be back in the dark ages of (shudder) power cords. Cordless drills, reciprocating saws, LED site lighting, and even miter saws and table saws are all ready to leap into action, without having to search out and fight for available outlets.

So I feel that the first two sentences of this review are the most important in as far as why you would want to think throughly about your charging needs. The first sentence is “Thanks to the growing number of powerful cordless tools, many job sites are much more efficient and productive than they used to be back in the dark ages of (shudder) power cords.” I like how the this article also explained that the earlier versions of chargers generally made a queuing system for when the batteries will charge and how the new charge manages to start charging all of the batteries at the same time. I also like the fact that the article made the joke about making a cordless batteries charging dock which would actually be a very cool idea, but I think it would be hard to work out how to effectively store enough power to transfer charge to multiple batteries.

Similar to what David Kelley said, I think that this article really does a good job talking about Dewalt's new charger. To start, as the article points out, I think it really is important to realize that more and more, jobs sites are starting to rely on battery powered tools and thus rely on them being charged. For this reason, I think it is awesome that Dewalt has gone above and beyond by really thinking about how a charger can be innovated. And innovate is exactly what they have done. This new charge simultaneously charges four Dewalt batteries of any kind and very quickly. On top of this, the charger acts as a great way to transport your batteries. The batteries securely click into the charging slots allowing you to pick up the whole thing from the onboard handle without them falling off. This charger also can click onto Dewalt's existing storage system.
