Long Wharf Theatre, one of the country’s leading regional theaters, is looking for an experienced and motivated props carpenter to join the props staff for the 2013-2014 Season.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years professional carpentry experience with strong artisan skills; ability to work on projects both independently and with others. Responsibilities include research, create and build furniture, hand props, set dressing and prop mechanical devices; and shopping. Light computer skills, Photoshop, metal working, welding experience and the ability to drive a box truck a plus. Applicants must be able to lift 75 lbs, be comfortable working on ladders, value a safe work environment, possess a valid driver’s license in good standing and have a good attitude. Position includes overtime and benefits.
