I think the concept here is interesting and more intriguingly accessible compared to other altered reality experiences in the US. I hope to imagine that since users only need the browser on their phone, that this attraction lowers the cost to experience augmented reality as opposed to experiences that require you to purchase high tech equipment or expensive solo experiences. As someone who hates butterflies I don’t think this would be the attraction for me, but it’s cool they can make them interact with the user’s hand within the camera. The other side of me looks at something like this and wonders why not just go outside or to a butterfly garden instead of experiencing the magic of nature through your phone in a gigantic themed dome. In the end though I see the argument that this isn’t to experience butterflies it’s to say you’ve done the newest and coolest technological exhibition.
