This system looks incredible. As I read further into the article, I kept getting more and more impressed. To start, more than double the bandwidth; I don’t think I’ve ever used a wireless system higher than 2.4 GHz. The way the system automatically detects interference/dropout and will adjust accordingly in real time is insane. By far and away this is what I was most impressed by. Interference is the bane of sound engineers. I’ve experienced my fair share of interference and dropout (in environments that didn’t really have a lot of RF activity, too) and it’s funny how the same channels/frequencies always struggle. A system that automatically accounts for that would’ve made life so much easier, but at the same time I’m sure there’s someone who would probably prefer to have consistent channels than ensured connectivity. I was surprised to see that the system used a license-free frequency range, though. I’m not an expert but I would imagine that range would be more busy than others.
