How Little Amal Walked the Walk

AMERICAN THEATRE: The Walk, a traveling festival of art surrounding the journey of Little Amal, a giant 12-foot puppet, began in July 2021 at the Turkey/Syria border, and concluded in Manchester, England, last November. This bold public art project celebrating refugees, raising awareness, and sparking wonder, love, and excitement, was conceived and executed on a scale never attempted, and with shockingly little funding.
