This sounds like a really cool ride. At first I thought it was the same thing that have in Disney Land, but they say this is their first location in the US, so it must not be the same thing but probably something similar. And I love the ride like this in Disney. This one seems so cool tough because it provides mists and scents and wind which I bet is probably so cool. I also really like the locations they chose. It would be so easy to make this attraction fly over the biggest cities and the coolest buildings, but it seems like a lot of the locations are nature, which I think is really great to allow people to experience the beauty of the world this way. I haven’t been to Vegas in a while, but when I went last I was a kid and I remember that there didn’t seem to be a lot of attractions for kids or things for kids to do which is fine, but it seems like this will be a cool attraction for all ages.

My immediate thought after reading this article is that this new FlyOver attraction in Las Vegas is a complete rip off of Disneyland’s “Soarin’ Around the World'' attraction. The ride experience was described almost identically to how Disneyland’s “Soarin’” functions, albeit with a few differences in visual features and theme. Nonetheless, it is a fascinating type of entertainment that is extraordinarily immersive and mesmerizing. The combined feeling of simulated flight with stunning shots of iconic locations of the West is quite a creative use of modern technology. And since I’ve never been to this attraction in Vegas, I am actually quite interested in seeing if and how this location utilizes sound and smell to create the most riveting experience for the riders, as those are primary elements of what makes Disney’s attraction so immersive. These concepts could also be reflected in the space of theater; if designed and executed well, could also enhance a live performance.

I love ride like these. The first time I ever got to experience a ride like this that was the same magnitude as this one appears to be was at Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim California. Originally named Soarin' Over California, this ride was one of the original rides debuting on opening day of the park. This ride, similar to the ride in Vegas, features a large screen that played a video making you feel like you were soaring over multiple California natural landmarks, all while seated in a "parasailing" type position. The ride was later re-branded as Soarin' Around the World and the video was updated to include landmarks and natural locations all around the globe. Getting to ride this was very memorable. I always like attractions like these as there seemed to be more to it than let's say a roller coaster. The video told a story and allowed you to experience more. I am curious if I would have the same experience on this new ride in Vegas.
