So, a couple things about this article. I don't think these are very great "survival tips." It's just a "check to see if you have money here," and "check to see if you have money there," and "check to see how much your bills are and how long you can last." I feel like these are givens. Also, this line in particular confused me: "$8.33 is less than minimum wage in every state except Louisiana." Is it, though??? I'm pretty sure the minimum wage here in Georgia is $7.25, and I can name a few other states that are nowhere near $8.33 minimum wage. Maybe I'm wrong, but that sort of made me question credibility in the author and article.
Anyway, I think that times like this are really sad for so many Americans who are living paycheck-to-paycheck and may not have emergency funds or savings they can dip into during this time. There is talk about the government sending out $1000 checks to all adults in the coming weeks to help relieve the costs of rent and bills and groceries, but no matter what we do, the economy will take a major toll.
