A Designer's Eos Toolkit (Part 3): Effects, Submasters, Presets, Groups, Macros

et cetera...: Welcome to Part 3 of this blog, where I’m sharing secrets from my Eos template file. If you’ve missed the previous two parts of this series, you can check them out here.

In the last installment, we discussed making an Eos template file with pre-existing record targets with the goal of expediting the pre-programming necessary before every show.

I have read and commented on previous articles in this series, but this one seemed different than the rest. In past journal entries, Pattak did a good job of giving some background information about what he is going to be talking about, but for this article, he chose to omit that. The article mainly focused on more advanced presets and effects. Both of these concepts can be a little confusing so I really think he lost a part of the article by not explaining what he was talking about. Other than the potential confusion, he did not do much explaining about what each attribute does and more about his personal exploration into the ability and how he uses each one. Effects are always a good way to bring a technical rehearsal to a halt when you are looking for something specific. While I found this helpful and insightful, I really missed the educational aspect of his previous articles.
