Amplify: Growing up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jay Cooper says there wasn’t much of a live music scene. Touring bands would skip over his town for bigger cities and Cooper wasn’t entirely sure what he was missing until he became a youth usher with his Boy Scouts troop.
