Husky 1500 lb Capacity Portable Workbench - Bench And Router Table On The Go

homefixated.com: Like many, I struggle with one of the most fundamental aspects of “doing things”. That is, having surfaces to actually do the things on. I’m often forced to dig out the inadequate saw horses or my undersized folding workbenches (or even work directly on the ground).

Portable, compact and versatile tools are among the most important on the job site. I would argue that many people judge the tool more on the usability and versatility more so than they do the quality of the instrument. For some, this might seem somewhat counterintuitive but in reality people look for something that is going to make their life more comfortable on the go. This table looks like it fits all of this criteria and then some. The integration of a router is both simple and convenient on a job site. The idea of being able to customize the table to fit your needs is the top selling point of the unit and is it very evident that Husky has made this the number one priority in the unit. I’m sure there are many units like this out on the market today and im sure each one is unique in its own way.

Okay, when I first saw a picture of this new work table, I was concerned. It appears to largely be made out of plastic which I understand helps build the portability factor. However, I was quickly humbled when the article claims that the table can hold 1500 pounds. Work tables are always something that there never seems to be enough of in a shop so the fact that Husky has come out with one might change the game for the garage shop industry. It has a lot of low profile attachments which do not take away from its ability to just be a table but the pictures show the ability to create a larger table out the sides. I think where Husky is really going to sell a lot of these is in the router aspect of its versatility. I think it was a very smart move on Husky’s part to create such a thing that you can make a router table out of fairly easily.
