Breaking Character: July of 2017 offered a very special moment for me. I had talked to the chairwoman of our Board of Directors about what would be needed to direct at Hershey Area Playhouse. I knew that we needed directors for our 2018 season and I mentioned I was interested in venturing into directing a show. It was in July that I was told that I had been chosen to direct the first show of our 2018 season, The Secret Garden.
