Thinkwell's 2017 Guest Experience Trend Report
thinkwellgroup.com: FOR THINKWELL’S 2017 GUEST EXPERIENCE TREND REPORT, we decided to explore what is motivating Americans to seek out location-based entertainment (LBE) and cultural attractions in today’s era of political uncertainty, cultural divides, and increased stress. We polled more than 1,600 respondents across the U.S. to break down what is driving guests to LBE experiences, what is impacting their visitation frequency, and how they are thinking about visiting these venues in 2018, and we’ve identified key implications at both local and national levels.

It is interesting that this article mentions how museums can be more engaging and attract more guests, as an experience-based entertainment field. It is also interesting to see how this museum puts entertaining families before other groups. remember two years ago, my high school visited the Philadelphia science museum. The museum was crawling with children. While most of us were children ourselves, the experience was ultimately less satisfying because we could not find our own area claim and explore. We had to keep tiptoeing around the children and their parents because we knew that if there was any altercation between them and us, we would be the ones thrown out of the museum. It may be the fault of our trip organizers that our trip was less than satisfying, but I will say that the museum curators did not do as much as they could have to make their museum inclusive to children of all ages.
