Controversy Clouds the International Circus Festival of Las Vegas

It's hard to hear about the terrible working conditions at this festival. Apparently there were no dressing rooms, or adequate spaces for warming up, there was a lack of catering, though it was promised, and they didn’t receive full financial compensation.
I agree with the articles throughline- the Las Vegas Circus Festival had overambitious goals.
I looked in the Festival through their website, and it seems they are planning to do a second festival in 2026. Their website, of course, puts them in a good light. They preach their dedication to “nurturing local talent [and] creating opportunities.” It seems like they have a good range of acts planned with a diverse cast.
The festival seems like it could be an amazing performance that provides a platform for many different artists and could expand the circus community in LA. I hope that they have addressed the issues in their first performance and are prepared for their next festival.
