Unleashing the Beast: How They Turned Christoper Abbot into the "Wolf Man"
The Credits: Director Leigh Whannell is a veteran of the horror genre, and that includes taking on iconic characters from Universal’s deep bench of monsters. His 2020 thriller The Invisible Man came amid a global pandemic when the terror of fighting an enemy you couldn’t see was all too real. Now, on January 17, Universal will release his latest twist on a classic monster with Wolf Man.

I think it's always really cool to incorporate design aspects into movies, especially horror using makeup design and fake blood to portray these characters and monsters is always so interesting, scary, and realistic. I think one show that I've watched that really accomplished that was Stranger Things. They just do this incredible job with their makeup team to create this world, so I was kind of intrigued by the wolfman. I have never seen this movie, but based off of these pictures and videos of all the bloody fingers and bony-looking pans and this wolf creature, it seems really scary. It is like the director achieved the look they were going for with this makeup and special effects makeup so I think they really did Unleash the Beast interestingly and intriguingly. I'm now interested in watching this movie and seeing how the makeup and special effects take the screen and push this story to feel more realistic and scary.
