This is a super interesting concept. For the majority of human history live entertainment could really only be witnessed live; nowadays, modern technology has made it possible to experience live entertainment remotely, on any functioning device with an internet connection. These experience centers seem like a midpoint between watching on one’s personal device and seeing the event live—sort of like the more expensive and high-tech version of a sports bar. Both spaces involve spectating a sporting event with fellow fans through a screen, but on vastly different scales. Obviously the appeal of an LED dome, particularly in the context of wrestling, is its immersive aspect. Since most wrestling takes place in an ampitheater in the original Greek sense, where the audience is seated *around* the spectacle, a massive dome can replicate the experience of watching the match live far more effectively than a smaller flat screen. All in all, though ultimately these experience centers are simply another way of consuming the same media, I think it’s cool to see corporations recognizing that many people feel deprived of third spaces and seeking to fill that gap.
