Hearing about the experience of these two filmmakers is astounding and demonstrates the great skill and effort that goes into making such meaningful art and storytelling. The care taken and detailed planning and collaboration described on all fronts is inspiring to hear and shows that despite many many limitations, the making of such a film is possible. Uplifting stories and showing the rest of the world the lives of others is one of the great features of art, particularly in filmmaking where production can get more creative and impart even more forms of visual storytelling than other artforms. Further, it is inspiring to also hear about the story of the films creation and the amount of trust and communication that was needed and that was achieved in order to do this in the proper ethical manner. Consistently explaining intentions and verifying their plans at all times, in filming and in post, allowing for the most stable way of maintaining that trust in great filmmaking.
