Emma Chamberlain has been a rashion icon and inspiration to me for many years now, probably since middle school. I rembember looking forward to watching her silly little youtube vlogs after school. Since then, she has grown to be a giant influencer and celebrity, partnering with Louis Vuitton, having her own podcast and segments on shows, working with A list celebrities and host in red carpets, creating a wildly successful coffee company, and more. For being as popular as she is, I still really look up to her and how gracefully she handles being in the public eye. Her makeup looks and red carpet outfits are always outstanding, and I adore the bold and unique choices her and her stylist choose to make. I cannot wait to see what other exciting content is in store for Emma, and hope that she continues to slay in the industry.
Celebrity makeup artists have always fascinated me. With the beauty industry being such a monster everywhere, especially in the media world, it was only a matter of time before these artists gained a following of their own. It must be stressful to put makeup on some of the most important people of our time, at least pop culturally speaking. I enjoyed that Fisher was set on this path at an early age and “never looked back”, obviously it worked! Powerful people pursuing what society sees as less stable and therefore less important jobs are so important to me. It is interesting that so much of the credit for the makeup look that Emma was wearing was given to her rather than the makeup artist that actually did all the work. But I suppose that is just something that you have to get used to if you want to be a makeup artist for famous people.
