Berkeley native Itamar Moses on 'The Band's Visit,' before and after the pandemic

Datebook: When Itamar Moses visited Berkeley Repertory Theatre in 2019, he was just down the hill from the house where he grew up — which is also where he was staying. He was in town to workshop his play “The Ally” as part of the theater’s Ground Floor program. “The Band’s Visit,” for which he wrote the book, was supposed to come to San Francisco in May 2020.
