Looking Ahead to the 2019 IAAPA Expo with North American Vice President John Hallenbeck
Theme Park University: Theme Park University has covered the convention in Orlando for years now and it’s always a great way to stay on the pulse of the attractions industry! Recently we got a chance to catch up with Jon Hallenbeck, Vice President for IAAPA North America and what he’s looking forward to in this year’s convention.

John Hallenbeck has one cool life. I’m somewhat jealous. Before reading this article I did not even know that there was an International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions organization, let alone an expo. I will definitely be more aware of this organization now, and maybe have a better idea of what’s going on in the attractions industry. Cool beans. The fact that this expo focuses on attraction industry makers as well as attraction industry goers is awesome. The IAAPA ensures attendees get to go to explore any great attractions in Florida, this year they’re going to Universal’s Islands of Adventures for their latest attraction. This sounds like the USITT of Amusement Park Attractions. They even have an app where you can plan your entire trip. The expose seems very accessible to anyone who is interested in attending and it seems like a great opportunity for anyone who loves amusement parks or attractions.
