This installation exhibit was really interesting to me. The article didn’t dive very deep into many specifics about the exhibit so I did a little more research myself to find out more about it. Turns out that the exhibit itself is made to have the participant step into the mind of someone with Bipolar II Disorder for six minutes. The experience itself seems really cool however I think what is more important is the research and data analysis that is being done in alongside the exhibit itself. It’ll be really beneficial to gather more information on mental health issues within the industry. I’m also not entirely sure of it but I would think that not to much focus on mental health has been placed exclusively in the technical division of the theatrical and entertainment side of the industry. I would be very interested to see what information they obtain and the analysis they end up doing after the event. They also have the option for individuals to fill out the questionnaire online which allows for a greater number of people beyond the event attendees to contribute to the data collection, hopefully this survey can provide more insight inside and outside the industry of what mental health problems individuals are dealing with.
