Edinburgh Fringe 2019: Female-Led Narratives
The Theatre Times: Sisterhood and female companionship were at the heart of some of the most popular plays at the Edinburgh Fringe this year. These female-driven pieces took a long, hard look at the complex bonds—and tensions—among women of different ages, backgrounds, and temperaments. Here are some productions that attest to the wide array of feminisms being imagined and interrogated on the contemporary stage.

I really enjoyed the writing style of this piece. Each short and sweet review of these Edinburgh Fringe Female Led Narrative pieces was clear, concise, and criticism that was constructive alongside strong examples and explanations. I also think the author was very clear in distinguishing their opinion from the facts of each production. What’s amazing about these female led narratives at Edinburgh Fringe is the plethora of them. Each of these stories has a unique perspective of the female led narrative and all of these productions sounds super interesting, daring, and exciting. Two of the productions sound super cool to be because they’ve taken old historical things and turned them into new theatrical pieces. It’s amazing to see how many different stories are being told with a female led narrative. The images in this article from The Patient Gloria, Enough, and The Last of the Pelican Daughters have made me intrigued enough to search the interest for more images from these performances in Edinburgh.
