One thing that I like doing is working on integration. This show had exactly that, which I find super cool. They say necessity is the mother of invention and that is certainly true. The two bands needed to live together on the stage, so clever designs had to be thought of and designed. Simplicity is great and that's awesome that they had the ability to do that. Something I learned recently is that in big shows, about a third of the budget in fabrication is spent on the packaging and storage of the devices for transport. Clever packaging sounds like a big challenge and I would certainly be interested in working on that type of project. Here at CMU, we don't build shows for multiple spaces, but that would for sure be an interesting challenge/project.
